Georgeann Farquarson

As I look back over my life and I think things over, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed and I have a testimony. My name is Georgeann Charlow Farquarson. I can remember so clearly sitting across from my doctor and hearing him tell me that my results came back positive and that I had stage 2/3 high grade cancer.

My mind went on my mother who died from breasts cancer. I began to cry. My whole life flashed before me. I could only think about my two kids especially my son, Kendrick who has down syndrome My eldest sister and a very good friend began to console me.

To make a long story short; I did about six rounds of chemo. After my first round my hair came off. That was another reality check, days I wanted to give up but my son was my inspiration. After my treatments, I had my surgery to remove my right breast. I received a clean bill of health. I would like to say thanks to Almighty God for His Faithfulness towards me.

A big thanks to my family member. Christian Life Church Family, BPL Family, the Angels Network, my good neighbor and very close friends. Last, but not least Ms. Gennie Dean (deceased) and the GD Caring N’ Sharing Support Group.

I can’t leave out my doctors and their staff, they were excellent.
