Jody Knowles

Jody Knowles, is a true gem of a Woman, and the bubbly, dedicated wife to Dana Knowles her husband of eighteen years. They are the proud parents of three wonderful sons, eight year old twins David and Daniel, and six year old Dillon. In the Winter of 2016, during a routine monthly self examination, Jody noticed a change in her breast, and immediately realized that it required medical attention. She made arrangements to have numerous tests conducted at The Cleveland Clinic, in Florida, and after several trips back and forth, she received the diagnosis on June 2017, three days before her birthday, … that it was Stage 3 Breast Cancer!

The team comprised of Oncologists, Radiation Specialists & Surgeons at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida developed and executed a treatment plan designed specifically for Jody; This began with 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, 5 weeks of radiation and a total hysterectomy. Just this past week, on August 21, 2018, she received the great news that she is “cancer Free”. It has been a very difficult year for Jody, and her family. The obvious costs involved prevented them from being with her, so she was forced to make many trips alone. She will happily bear witness that there were times when she could feel the presence of her faithfully amazing Heavenly Father.

One of her greatest memories from this ‘journey to health’ was of her November 2017 fundraiser event which she aptly named, “Metamorphosis”. The outpouring of love and support from her community home was nothing short of overwhelming. Even the guests artist who flew in to lend support, became a part of her family. The event was a mammoth success, due to the tremendous support from Kevin Harris overseeing a committee of friends, the Artists, Pastors Mario and Erika Moxey, the Bahamas Harvest Church family, leadership, volunteers and members.

God placed some of His best ‘ministering angels’ around me in the human form of Verenique, Phillandra, Tishka, Ms. Yvette, Gina, Antoinette, My Babies, My Hubby and mostly My Mommy (the strongest woman I know).
